The Brandenburg Gate nearly close enough to touch, the view in all directions is spectacular. On the terraces of the MOVE, it's not just marathon runners who get goosebumps when they see the finishing straight. Open on all sides, the two-storey building on Platz des 18. März invites you to take part in the anniversary of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, to exercise together or simply to enjoy. For example, the reading by Hajo Schumacher, who read from his humorous crime novel “Nur der Tod ist schneller” on Wednesday afternoon and kept the audience in suspense with the running detective Peer Pedes, who investigates the Berlin running scene. Afterwards, advertising icon, flâneur and self-confessed “non-runner” Friedrich Liechtenstein gave an insight into his Berlin in conversation with Ilka Peemöller and even sang from his new album at the end.

Daily exercise programs

Whether early in the morning or after work - together with our running coaches, we will also be offering regular early bird and after-work runs in the coming days. We will run a relaxed 5-km lap. Other highlights are the yoga sessions with Karli and Pilates. You can really work out at Les Mills BODYATTACK™. All courses are free - you can find more information here.

Concerts, readings & panels

There are also many other cultural highlights on the program. In the evenings, bands that have been playing along the route on the day of the marathon for years will provide absolute listening pleasure. The panel talks are also worth a visit, for example on the topics of “Berlin as a sports destination and the impact of major events on tourism”, “BERLIN-MARATHON - history, present & future” or inclusion and diversity.
