SCC EVENTS organises numerous athletic sporting events throughout the year. Among the best-known events are the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON and the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON. In addition to these running experiences, the calendar of events also includes a SwimRun competition, the SwimRun Rheinsberg. At the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, the GENERALI BERLINER HALF MARATHON and the adidas Runners City Night, athletes can also participate in inline skating competitions. With the Bambini Running Series, SCC EVENTS provides fun events for the kids. All in all, these sports events attract around 200,000 participants every year.

Sporting season start in the capital city
The Berlin New Year's Run on January 1st kicks off the sports calendar of athletic events organised by SCC EVENTS. The 4 km route from the Brandenburg Gate to the Berlin Cathedral and back is regarded as a relaxed start to the coming sports season. Instead of collecting a participation fee, donations for a charitable cause are welcomed.
Community meeting to kick off spring
The GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON. takes place at the beginning of April. The race through the German capital has a high international standing and marks the unofficial kick-off for the entire athletics and inline skating community. Due to the flat courses, the best times in all competitions tumble here in rows.
Moving through May with the power of women
Mid-May marks the time for Germany's biggest women's run. At the VITAMIN WELL Women's Race Berlin in and around Berlin's Tiergarten, the runners, power walkers and Nordic walkers get active for a good cause by supporting the Berlin Cancer Society in the fight against (breast) cancer. This event is also available as a virtual version, where the focus is also on combining the joy of running with doing good.
The hottest three relay days of the athletic events year
Teamwork is also the order of the day at the Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5x5 km TEAM-Relay in the Tiergarten. On the hottest three relay days of the year, the popular summer night relay party takes place on the attractive course leading between the Federal Chancellery, Bellevue Palace and the Victory Column. Over 30,000 participants take to the starting line. It is an exciting mix of individual teams with fun names, alongside corporate teams, with larger companies renting TEAM tents with catering for up to 200 relay teams to celebrate their very own special company parties. Managers and executives have a special opportunity to take part in the GERMAN MANAGEMENT RUN and network at the accompanying symposium and get-together party.
Start the summer as a team
The StWB TEAM Relay in Brandenburg an der Havel in June marks the beginning of summer. The beautiful 5-km loop along the Lower Havel River leads through the historic old town: Over eight bridges, through medieval alleys and past historical sights, teams of four relay runners can celebrate their team spirit and enjoy a relaxing picnic afterwards.
Extreme hiking with marathon feeling
Conquer the 44-kilometer hiking circuit and become a HIKING HERO yourself - at the first official SCC Hiking Marathon just outside Berlin.
Hiking connects. Extreme hiking connects even more. Experience the unique mixture of personal challenge and common mission. Love of nature and adventure. Fun and swearing. Burning soles and tears of joy. Crossing the finish line with your hiking buddies to thunderous applause, knowing you've completed your first official hiking marathon.

Nature is calling - the SwimRunners are coming
Crystal-clear lakes and rustic forests pose the idyllic backdrop to the SwimRun Rheinsberg. Alternating between swimming and running in the beautiful landscape of Brandenburg, individual participants and teams experience the fascination of this relatively new endurance sport in harmony with nature. Different distances offer opportunities for every level of ability—with opportunities for everyone in the family to participate.
The fastest night in Berlin
Personal bests are dropped on the super-fast and flat course along the famous Ku'damm boulevard, Berlin's most famous shopping mile. The adidas Runners City Night stands for spectacular 5 km and 10 km inline skating and running events. Samba bands, brass bands, cheerleaders and, most of all, the brightly lit finish gate make this event a very special experience with an ever-growing fan base.
Test for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON
The Berlin Road Race – Die Generalprobe - is one of SCC EVENTS traditional athletic sports events. The half marathon course leads through the three Berlin residential districts of Steglitz, Zehlendorf and Wilmersdorf. At the end of August, participants have the opportunity to run a dress rehearsal for the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a late summer Sunday on the 10K course.
The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON as the highlight of the season
At the end of September, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is the highlight of the SCC EVENTS sporting event calendar. Twelve world records and countless best times have already been achieved here. The running and skating spectacle with many side events and a three-day EXPO remains unparalleled in the world of endurance sports year after year. The course passes numerous Berlin sights. 100 live bands and a million spectators cheer on the participants from all over the world, who then get to experience the emotional highlight of the day as they pass through the Brandenburg Gate 400 metres before the finish line.

Storm the summit before the New Year's Eve party
You can actively end the sporting year at the Berlin New Year's Eve Run . The course through the Grunewald Forest with a breathtaking view of the Berlin skyline from the summit of the Drachenfliegerberg (kite mountain) offers all participants the opportunity to recharge their batteries on the last day of the year. Those who like it more casual can run in costume. A prize for the best outfit and delicious jelly-filled donuts at the finish line are included.
