Make a Stand against Child Abuse
Run for Charity at the real,- BERLIN MARATHON 2008
The Hansel and Gretel Foundation provides children with a place of refuge and protection from danger and violence. The “Projekt Notinsel” (Emergency Island Project) stands for the nationwide protection of children in public spaces. Whether at school, on the way home, at playgrounds, or at home: Children are constantly faced with dangerous situations – and are often without defence. The Projekt Notinsel is a simple and effective method for providing safe havens for kids. With every new partner business, the network for child protection grows, limiting the possibilities for potential perpetrators.
How can one run for charity?
In order to run for charity, you, as the runner, are to collection donations for our charity partner from friends who are interested in honouring your running achievements. Ask your friends, relatives, and colleagues to sponsor you with a set amount for every kilometre you finish. This can be any amount, however, we suggest that each sponsor commits to at least 50 cents per kilometre. Your sponsors can then either fill out a postcard or enter their donation commitment online. The more sponsors you enlist, the more you can fill up your donation pot. You make the first step. 200 euros of your charity race fee of 250 euros goes directly into your donation pot.
One example of sponsoring:
| Your wife donates 2€ x 42 km | = 84,00 € |
| Your son donates 0,50 € x 42 km | = 21,00 € |
| Five colleagues each donate 1 € x 42 km | = 210,00 € |
| Charity race fee 250 €, including donation of 250 €, Spende | = 200,00 € |
| = 515,00 € |
